The "Gator" liner lock folder
Inspiration for this knife came from the Florida alligator and started with a 105 layer ladder pattern Damascus billet that I forge welded from 1084 and 15n20. The pocket clip was cut from the same billet to match. The blade length is 3.5 inches and features a nice taper all the way down to a razor sharp edge and hardened to 59 hrc. It glides on phosphor bronze washers, and has a detent ball ramp for effortlessly smooth opening and closing. The liners are surface ground and blasted 6al-4v titanium with a carbidized lock face for a super hard lockup and easy disengagement. Scales are lime green mosaic micarta with a Hand Filed 1095 backspacer etched black. The Gearhead pivot screws and all hardware are stainless steel and etched black.
