About the Forge and Me.

My name Is Scott Casey and I have been forging and making knives for 15 plus years and metalworking and welding for roughly 30 years. I have an extensive background in building race cars and welding and fabrication which led to knife making, and it came quite naturally. The principals of knife making and the tools used were all quite familiar to me when I started. Not that there weren’t mistakes along the way, there were many, I have bucket of junk to prove it, lol but that is how we learn. I love making knives and also collecting. On occasion I do buy knives from other makers when I find something unique that I probably wouldn’t make myself just because it isn’t in my style. I am an avid outdoorsman and love fishing, hunting, and camping. All our family vacations generally revolve around all theses activities. I always use what I make. It gives me a real world perspective as to how my products work. Hopefully this gives you insight to my background and who I am. Like I always tell my wife “You can never have to many Knives!”
